I'm looking for a good referenced person to repair or replace a gas fired furnace that is steam heat.

It is for my nephew who had his family home in Brooklyn (his great grandfather build) devastated by Sandy. He has no electric, heat, internet, etc. He afraid to leave the house for fear of looter. He did not have flood insurance. He is in the dark in more ways then one. The lower level had 9 feet of water; Totaling the furnace, electrical panels,wiring, etc. It seems that FEMA is not going to be of much help with enough funding to replace what he had. My nephew has very limited resources. And finds himself in reduced circumstances even before the disaster. He needs help. He needs good advice on how best to use the very limited resources he has. His priority now is to get the heat going before the freezing weather sets in causing even more destruction. Please advise on furnace and reputable installers (plumbers?) Looking for a good, compassionate, honest and fair person.
