Jenn-Air vs. KitchenAid Refrigerators

Over the past 30 years I have moved and renovated the kitchens in each house three times. I have had two Jenn Airs and one Kitchen Aid and I also made the mistake of using Kitchen Aid in my tenants apartment in that house as well. I am now moving again and building my forth and hopefully last kitchen in New York and I will put in a Jenn Air refrigerator. My Jenn Airs have never let me down. Both the Kitchen Aids had issues with the rubber gaskets on the doors as well as the icemakers needed parts replaced, both right after the warrantee expired.

They look exactly the same and I know they are manufactured by the same company (Whirlpool) but is there any difference at all? Resellers are telling us that Jenn-Air is higher-end but I honestly don’t see any difference at all….
