Upstate Antique / Flea Market for Memorial Day Weekend?
I just got back from Stormville. The weather was pretty good on Sunday, albeit cold and windy. I haven’t been to this market for about ten years; it’s a bit smaller than I remember, at least in the “antique” section, but still fun. We got a (probably) late ’40s aluminum outdoor gable for our garden (all of $20) and a few new odds and ends–spent the (rainy) day Saturday at DIA, in Beacon and came home Sunday night to avoid the Memorial day traffic.

Does anyone have some good recommendations for antiques and/or flea markets for this upcoming weekend? Thinking about hoping in the car and exploring the Hudson Valley for a little bit. Thanks!

The Rhinebeck Antiques Fair is this coming weekend. It’s pretty serious and prices can be high — then again, there’s very little tat. Dealers come from all over the Mid-Atlantic, New England and as far away as Indiana and Ohio.

Cold Spring and Rhinebeck have nice stuff, but they are expensive. Stormville is THE place to go this weekend. The brick and mortar shops to hit are U Might Find It in Newburgh, Dickenson’s and the antiques mall/market across the street in Beacon, Hyde Park Antiques Mall (Hyde Park) and Hoffman’s Barn in Red Hook. See you there! 🙂
