PublicStuff.com

Just came across this – http://www.publicstuff.com/ny/brooklyn-ny

Looks like a great idea if it can get traction. Anyone seen something better to use instead?

Dean–Here is the correct link to PublicStuff: http://www.publicstuff.com/. The way our system works is citzens like you can report issues(pottholes, street and traffic light outages, watering violations, dead animals, etc) to their local government. A desginated point of contact(s) receive it,  do something about it, and completes the request. What’s so great about PublicStuff is we actually work with local governments and provide a system for them to keep track of requests, like a communication and workflow suite. So, unlinke others, we work directly with local governments to ensure they receive all requests and complete them. Over 150 cities are using our system and have completed over 50,000 requests and so we have a lot of traction. Brooklyn, NY tested the system but they are not a client…. yet.
