How long do we need to keep permits up? Construction is over and we moved in, we are just waiting for electrical and plumbing inspections and sign off…I took the permits down but I’m not sure if they should still be there or not

Are you waiting for the inspections? Did somebody request a sign off? If not, the permits may remain open indefinitely.

The DOB wants you to keep the permits posted until the job is closed out at the DOB. It’s unlikely, but possible that you can get a violation if they are not.
