Good water filter for refrigerator

Hello, We have been using an AlkaViva water ionizer for a number of years. Now we are renovating our kitchen and hoping to get that kind of filtering for the ice make & water in our refrigerator. As I understand it, you can’t use an ionizer for this because it would be running constantly and quickly burn out. My question is- is there some kind of non-ionizer under-counter water filter that gets rid of most of the toxins that an ionizer will , PH balance the water (to alkaline) and has the power to supply a refrigerator’s ice maker & water dispenser? Thanks! Doug

I bought one on Amazon I think Apex is the brand – not expensive and I’m very happy with it. Best $200 spent in a long time
