I have a Gerber Bathtub Overflow Plate Trip issue. The lever does not move up and down very easily. When I push the lever up does not stay up / falls back down. Once the lever is up the Bathtub Drain Linkage And Stopper does not come up right away or stay up. This was installed recently plumber not returning calls. Attached are photos and links to the parts. I tried adjusting the lengthen of the linkage that did not fix it. Any suggestions? https://hdsupplysolutions.com/shop/p/bathtub-drain-pop-up-and-cam-lift-spring-assembly-brass-p542400 https://hdsupplysolutions.com/shop/p/gerber%C2%AE-bathtub-overflow-plate-trip-lever-chrome-finish-p543550

Keep working at it. If you get frustrated, take a break or try again another day. The perfect adjustment exists. You just haven’t got it yet. That is what I found recently on a Kohler Tea for Two. On that one, the screws holding the overflow plate are covered and I needed to use an offset screwdriver on two long screws each time I took it out to readjust the linkage. It seemed to take forever and I was getting tendonitis from the contortions it put me through. But, eventually I got it. In the case of your model tub, I think you could have used a cable pop up system. The cable is on the outside of the pipe, much easier. I wish Kohler would switch to a cable system too. Some old-school items are great, but not this. Plumbers don’t take the time I take to get this right. That is just the way it is.

greenmtn is right. this something which takes some playing with. we had our bathroom done by a pro over the summer and he did not get it right. I took it out and played with it and it seemed ok but a few days later it wasn’t. it took me a few more tries before I got it. I would read on line and see if any manufacturers have any tips. Steve
