Facade renovation

It is efflorescence — the bricks wick water-soluble salts to the surface which then dry out leaving a white deposit. If you go online there’s lot of information available but it could be the result of the mortar your mason used or the humidity when the work was being done or it could have been present before the paint was removed from the surface and is only now visible. It can be removed using muriatic acid and then cleaning the brick with a baking soda solution. Ask the contractor to come and fix it. They may need to wait until the weather is warmer.

They Strip the paint from the facade using peel away, heavy duty paint stripper and low water pressure. They wash the same area using restoration cleaner and low water pressure. Rake out the mortar from the brick joints and repoint the brick joints 100% using lime base mortar matching the color with the original mortar as close as possible. Cut the deteriorated brownstone from the window sills, lintels and bancore down to the solid and sound base. Repair the same areas with coat of brownstone colored cement matching the color with the original stone as close as possible. And not long after the renovation i have those white stain located just below the windows . Can someone tell me what is it or what wasn’t done properly. Thanks
