Facade and gutter work

We just had our facade resurfaced by Mr Z and within a few months 30% stated to crack. He tried to repair the cracks and made the whole thing worse. The brownstone still counting to crack and he will not return our calls. I would never do business with this man. He was constantly asking for money to finish the job before it was done. He was not clean got cement all over the place. He got all of our money left us holding the bag.

We are looking to replace an ugly brick work on our house to restore it to its original wood siding; the house also need some gutter work. Does anyone know a reputable, efficient and not way over budget contractor? Thanks

Call Nick at Transcend (718.851.1140).  He’s a general contractor but specializes in masonry.  You’ll find all sorts of great recommendations here (and in the old archives).  We’ve used him for multiple projects, and we’re always very impressed with his rates, work, and the guys who work for him (all three issues we’ve had with other contractors and workers!!).  Tell him the woman in the Prospect Heights carriage house recommended him.
