Hi All: Has anybody worked an expediter and loved him or her? I think our appliances need to be permitted with the DOB before we can go forward with a new main gas line. Con Ed turned off the gas in the building because of a leak they found under the street. They ran a new pipe into our building but would not connect it. We’ve had two plumbers say we are going to have to deal with the DOB before work begins so I thought hiring and expert would be the way to go. Any recommendations? Thank you!

Anzalone Architecture was nothing short of miraculous as an expediter. We were getting appointments right after Sandy for an Alt 1 in record time, compared to others (including a neighbor on our block) who was getting similar appointments 2-3 months out. They were thorough, responsive and very knowledgeable about the code. Essential during code reviews before submission of plans, great at the DOB…not the cheapest but worth every single penny. Our Alt 1 gut renovation took 9 months from start to finish in large part because of them when others were months and months behind.
