Cost to Re-Line a Chimney?
I know that there is a lot that goes into estimating and properly sizing a liner for a chimney. Just looking for a ball-park estimate on what I can expect to pay for financial planning purposes. Basically, I need to line one flu that is approx 40′ in length and is a straight, unobstructed shot from the roof to cellar. It will vent 2 boilers and 2 water heaters (all gas). Assuming a 6″-7″ liner is needed. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

We paid about $3,000 to reline a chimney. House is four stories including the cellar. They had to remove the old clay liner first.

I responded with a four paragraph reply that the bs website lost, so I will be more brief. You need to do more homework. There is a btu calculation (or use chart), that will give you capacity of one liner based on feet of draft. I am quite sure that the diameter you are discussing is inadequate. I had my chimney relined last year by Andre from A&A. Can’t remember exaclty how much it cost but i want to say 1-2K. He had to join a 7 inch on the lower floors with a 5 inch on the upper because the chimney narrowed.
