black vine weevils

I’ve never had them but a friend of mine in VA spreads diatomaceous earth (DE) around her plants & digs it into the soil too at this time of year to control them as they hatch.

my lovely garden has been infested with black vine weevils for the last year and a half…have been treating them with beneficial nematodes to no avail. Anyone have suggestions to plants (flowering) resistant to the little bastards?
