AC Plugs

I want to re-do electric on my home. Does the code require that every window must have a plug for an AC unit?

Yes they must be arc fault circuit breakers. Don’t recall if there is any specific distance requirements, adjacent to the window is ok. Most a/c units come with a 6 foot cord so the outlet would have to be close by. Your electrician should know this too.

The code states that every room must have an outlet on a separate circuit for A/C use unless the space is equipped with central air conditioning. As stated above kitchens and bathrooms are exempt. Your electrician should know this.

Every room except bathrooms and kitchens should have a AC receptacle by one of the windows. Usually i choose which window would make more sense for a AC or just put a receptacle between two windows.
