You should ask her if there is a type (cyclonic, or upright) model she prefers - i bought a cyclonic for one of my old housekeepers who loved it, but the next maid absolutely hated it and liked using attachments on uprights. Since they've got to use it, lug it upstairs (or whatever is unique to your place) - i've learned to let them pick! You could suggest something like a Dyson DC23 or DC33

What type of wood can we find to patch a old parquet floor border?Assuming it's old wood, then it's probably poplar which often has a greenish cast to it.
Green WoodFrom the grain pattern, my first guess would be pine. Is it fairly soft?
