hi all-
anyone have a recommendation on someone who can build some big beefy floating shelves for our kitchen? we already have some heavy duty brackets in place…just need a reasonably priced woodworker/carpenter to create the actual shelves from multiple pieces of wood. thanks all.

  1. I know of a highly creative carpenter. he did some wood work for us icluding kitchen cabinets, and shelves. Highly skilled and cost was very fair. His name is Anthony. he can be reached at 347 307 4725 he is very responsible guy, and we have used him reguraly for various projects. we were very impressed.

  2. Lino Revilla, who was recommended here on Brownstoner, is building out my kitchen. I’ve worked with a lot of people since I started renovating my house (including some incompetent fools I hired off Craigs List) and he is hands down the best — also, very reasonably priced. As far as I know he only works full days. Maybe your job would take a day or maybe he would quote you for the individual job, not sure. If you have any other handyman type items that need doing around the house he’s worth every penny. Lino is skilled, punctual, hardworking, easy to work with and cleans up when he’s done. 1-347-248-8476

  3. … this is the sort of thing i trust craigslist for, you’ll get a lot of responses, pick someone that you have a good feeling about, and have them build a shelf as a test [and pay them just for that]

it’s amazing how inexpensive people will do things for on there, just have to make sure you weed out the kooks and scammers… i use cl for anything that is hard for someone to really mess up [so not for electrical or fine detailing]

    my thoughts…
