Has anyone ever had their marble countertops re-polished/re-finished? What was the process and can you recommend anyone who does this type of work? Any help would be much appreciated. I love marble, but mine needs to be “refreshed.”
Thanks

  1. My installer suggested not using grout or sealer on the tumbled marble in my kitchen. We did not want it honed. We wanted a more rustic look. The granite countertop is
Santa Cecilia and the tumbled marble we chose is antique gold. The granite is pretty busy, so the idea of no grout sounded good. Will it be a mistake to not grout and seal? I ask because I need another opinion since I really do not know the installer. Thank You.

  2. Marble is a premiere fabricator of kitchen counter tops, bathroom vanity tops, jacuzzi and fireplace surrounds, as well as other products for residential and commercial applications.

  3. Usually, if the shiny finish is removed that means the acid has eaten into the marble pretty severely and you’ll need to hire a professional stone restorer to re-polish the stone.

You can try a marble polishing powder, which you can order online or may find at a hardware store, but I highly doubt it will provide satisfactory results if you have a well-defined dull ring in the marble.
