Looking for an interior designer (decorator?) to help me pull my parlor room together. I have a few pieces already but need help with the rest. Has anyone worked with a professional who didn’t scoff at the idea of incorporating a few existing pieces? Seems once I say I have a couch and rug, no one returns my calls.

You have quite a few choices here, but here’s one more. Christa Kelly. She has worked for high end designers but now works free lance with a focus on clients looking to work with what they have, her fees are very reasonable and she’s got a great eye. You can reach her at:

I recommend my mom Susan Obrecht, an interior designer in Baltimore that has also a home in Brooklyn…

I can recommend Mitra Moshari. I have worked with her on a project that needed this similar task- and she was excellent.
