The Albero, formerly known as The Finger, has certainly provided us with plenty of stories, and now the question is: how many stories will the Albero have? In the past, it has been reported to have 17, 16, 11, 2 million…Now Crain’s reports, via Curbed, that current owner GFI will keep the building at its current height of ten stories. Councilman David Yassky’s office said, “It is our understanding that it is GFI’s desire not to go higher.” We would celebrate this piece of definitive news about the building, but this is The Finger we’re talking about (er, The Albero), and so stay tuned: perhaps tomorrow they’ll decide to demolish the whole thing and build a petting zoo.
