Work on the hotel planned for 237 Duffield Street in Downtown still hasn’t started, though a rep for the development says “we’re thinking about construction more realistically than we were six to eight months ago.” What has changed about the project is its architect: At the end of last year this permit went through, changing the applicant from Karl Fischer to the firm Urban Tectonics. The rep from Urban Tectonics told us the design was going to be “very similar” to the the ’07-vintage Karl Fischer design. As a side note, we’re not sure how new the mural on the fence around the site is, but it looks pretty cool; check it out after the jump.
