We’ve been watching the residential conversion of 25 Washington Street in Dumbo since the project got underway last spring. The Real Deal had an update on the project on Friday: There will be 106 units in the eight-story loft building, ranging in price from around $2,000 for a studio to $4,800 for a two-bedroom. Leasing is expected to begin in March. The article also points out that there’s a 16,256-square-foot rooftop addition on file with the Department of Buildings, in addition to the requisite cabanas. We’re particularly excited by the exposed beams you can see through some of the open windows from the street!

tybur6 – the federal bank examiners are watching the banks like hawks and supressing r.e. bank lending all over usa
not particular to this developer… same guys that did 100 jay wanted 1/4 of what they borrowed to do 100 and got laughed at numbers work, land free, banks won’t lend like they even did in 2001 much less 2005
this is the story behind bank non-lending, Feds keeping it down, they are part of problem not just banks
Umm… blofeld… What do the Feds have to do with the banks not lending this developer money?!
Property lays outs= out perfect for rental, protected views, great lobby, right windows kill the loud (been done at 133 Water, 85 Adams, 100 Jay, yawwnnnn).
I heard banks so lame
owners did from cash, terms of debt sucked. F- the banks the the Feds overseeing them…. holding back the market the retards
That’s a LOUD bridge…. I hope these apartments (of course, “luxury”) have great ways to deal with sound.
$2,000 for a studio in this building doesn’t sound bad to me. They should be nice.
