Development Watch: 475 Lafayette Finds Its Form
Back in December 475 Lafayette, off Bedford, wasn’t much more than an empty lot, just getting prepped for construction. Now… well, here it is. (Kinda looks like two homes that came out as conjoined twins.) When construction wraps up, this will be a two-unit building. New Building for 475 Lafayette [Brownstoner] GMAP DOB

Pete…this is new construction. Everything should be fine.
after all the snow this winter – what comes 1st to mind is potential snow buildup-leakage in the V and into adjoining bldgs.
There must be a reason for all the totally ugly, “lets throw up some bricks and random windows in the most spartan design possible” buildings being built in NYC. Is it that the architects who designed housing projects in Soviet Russia all emigrated to Brooklyn and now are the go-to guys for cheapo spec buildings?
I guess the one on the right will command a premium because it’s wider. I can see the snarky description by Mr B about the one on the left when it goes on sale: “tragically only 17′ wide, this unit might not please everyone…”
I vote for the empty lot with the weeds.
Shit sandwich…and Scarano’s fav bricks too boot. Guilt by association?
If you’re going to do something this ugly, at least make it symmetrically ugly.
HA! i TOTALLY see the pacman ghost in that now! hahahahhah
*rob*
Very good, bin.
