Development Watch: 101 Boerum Place

For a long time the corner space at Boerum and Pacific was nothing but an empty lot, but now this residential structure seems to be going up pretty quickly. The permit is for a single-family house, and the building seems more than big enough to accommodate. While it’s unclear how easy on the eyes this place will be, it’s nice to see something happening there, considering how huge the empty lot is across the street on Pacific between Boerum and Court. GMAP
It’s two single family homes on two adjacent lots – 101 & 103 Boerum Pl. The big empty lot/hole in the ground is between Boerum Pl and Smith. The construction fence recently got repainted but not sure if there’s any real action imminent. The project between Boerum Pl and Court seems to have sold out/started closings on 1st phase (225 Pacific St) so maybe they’ll get started on 2nd phase soon… Not sure if they have any tenants signed up for the massive commercial space.
It’s quite wide and upon first view, it seems too big to be a single family structure. But it’s not deep at all. So maybe it is a dream home for someone.
As for looking out onto NYSC, there are plenty of hotties and hunks on the treadmills there.
As for the vacant, uncompleted project on the corner of Boerum & Atlantic, has there been any movement there lately? They put in a concrete foundation and then seemed to have left it at that.
Believe this is for the architects’ personal home…luxurious situation.
A single family? Really?? That’s some crazy shit. However, looks like the architects are decent, so I guess it’ll at least be a not-totally-hideous rich-person’s bunker.
Surprised this took so long to get started. This was actually funded by stimulus money from 2009 – its the Boerum Hill Northern Border Alliance gun emplacements.

mrkknox…there’s no place for that sort of optimism when we’re discussing new developments here on brownstoner.
