Development Watch: 869 Pacific Street
Things look a little shaky over at 869 Pacific: Although someone on the site who claimed to be the developer said construction would be finished in a matter of months, that’s a difficult promise to make with an unresolved “Work Without a Permit” violation. Here’s hoping for the best. Development Watch: 869 Pacific Street [Brownstoner]

Development Watch: 869 Pacific Street [Brownstoner] GMAP
This building is just the most magestic thing you will ever see. I passed by it on a moonlite walk through Pacific Street. I don’t know what caught my eye first. Was it the pieces of molding wood being used as improvised scaffolding? Was it the protruding extension off the third floor that looked as if one bad storm could rain bricks on the whole block? No…I know. It was the gorgeous pink fauxchiminey on the northwest corner begging to spew out the smells of a faux gasburning fireplace. This, my brownstoner friends, is what Architectural Digest was made for.
How in god’s name did they expect to add an addition like that without a permit????
WHAT IS IT WITH THE DIFFERING BRICK COLORS????? WHY CAN’T THEY MATCH IT WITH A NICE RED??????
This looks like it’ll be a combination od beigish brick and cinderblock…it’s really ugly.
