I’v got 2 pics to send in on some things going on on a block that is calandered…Macon St. bet. Lewis & Marcus garvey…one fugly 4th storey addition in light brown brick and one completely new facade in that really fucking ugly yellow/orange fake stone.
HOW CAN THESE PEOPLE REALLY BE SO STUPID AND INSENSITIVE? I have some good ideas though but you won’t want to hear them.
This is not an attempt to look like a castle, but an ingenious architectural ‘loophole’ developed in Columbia University called Fractional Fortification. It allows the builder to meet height codes while only using half the construction material of a full wall for several feet, yielding an improved profit margin.
They did this . . . deliberately? What were they thinking (or taking)?

I realize this isn’t in a recognized historic district, but is there really no architectural review board in Brooklyn? At very least an aesthetic review board?
