There’s a bit of progress to report at the incredibly slow-moving Atlantic Terminal Station, which has been under construction for what seems like a million years at this point. The brick and glass on its facade now look quite a bit like the rendering for the station, so perhaps it’s actually nearing completion…though we wouldn’t bet on it.

  1. I know I’ve said it before, but they renovated all of One Hanson and converted it to condos and they still have yet to complete this project. I’m really surprised also that the elevator is even up to code — it’s the sketchiest thing I’ve ever seen.

  2. Amelia, you used to be able to access the station from the Q entrance in the clock tower. That has been closed “temporarily through summer 2007” for a while. Presumably it will reopen when the station is done.

  3. are the plans to have a subway/lirr entrance from outside on hanson? i have to go through the office tower during the week and then take the elevator on the weekends when the office is closed. its ridiculous.

  4. Thanks zinka. I was afraid of that…

I usually exit via Pacific since I live on that side of flatbush.

The route through the LIRR platform always feels like I’m scuttling through some dilapidated alley or something.
