It’s taken some price-cutting to arrive at this point, seven of the eleven new townhouses at 614 7th Avenue are now in contract, according to the broker. (StreetEasy only shows six.) What’s more, the broker says that there are contracts out on another two. That’s quite a turnaround for a project that got no traction for most of the year! Update: On the jump, check out the video that a neighbor just made about some water issues at the site.

  1. when will these buyers actually move in though? at the december open houses they were advertising “february/march” move-in. corcoran still lists them as “in contract” and not “sold” on their site.

has anyone heard of any progress on the construction? seems dubious that they’d get much done in dec/jan.

  2. “Does this sound legit/would that cause the amount of water in the video?”

from my understanding (and what IO have seen when I was on the block this week), that’s complete BS. The yard floods, the basements flood. The sewers are hooked up on 7th Ave, so even if they had issues, they could reroute to those building’s line.

One big lie, from start to finish.

psbrooklyn, I would stay way far away…unless you bring a set of swim fins.

  3. Official word is “The sewers are not in yet and the leaders and gutters have not been connected.” Does this sound legit/would that cause the amount of water in the video? I might be interested if I didn’t think the house would fall down or be filled with mold. Ick.
