We’ve covered some small-scale developments on Carroll Street both east and west of the Gowanus Canal before, but now there are a couple more projects to consider. First, there’s 441 Carroll Street, between Nevins and Third. The two-story home has been gutted to make way for a horizontal enlargement (shown at left). Then, there’s 559 Carroll, between 4th and 5th avenues, where construction’s just started on a four-story residential building (at right). On the jump, you can see 458 Carroll, which has been under renovation for awhile now but where it looks like work is wrapping.

  1. Actually it would be nice if some of these small little lots could just be parking lots to help the people park their cars, they can plant trees or hedges in the front as to conceal it, and would be helpful to the residents…

But “man”, would never help “man”, God Forbid…..anything was ever easy for us!!

But there has to be a residence shoved in any miniscule space they can find.
