A year ago we were talking about the plans to convert 201 Front Street from an artists-in-residence building to high end condos. Since then nothing much has happened to the building, though we gather the developers were working hard behind the scenes to get their financing in place. Their efforts must have paid off because at the end of last week a new scaffolding (permit here) was being put in place. The plan is for 159 units. With windows like these, this place should be a hit with buyers.

Ironically it was our last night in Vinegar Hill (we moved after living there for 6 years) last week when we saw all of the activity with the 3 new bldg conversions on Water and Bridge. The guys in suits with hard hats said the bldg will be rentals. I said I thought they were making condos and he said that was about 5 changes ago.
