X'ian Famous Foods Opens in Downtown Brooklyn

Xi’an Famous Foods has unveiled an outpost in Downtown Brooklyn.
Located at 54 Willoughby Street, between Jay and Lawrence Street, the space had its soft opening Tuesday, with plans for a grand opening this Friday, November 1. The menu appears to be the same as other X’ian Famous Food locations.
The restaurant offers quick, authentic Western Chinese-style dishes, including soups, sandwiches and dumplings as part of a menu with over 20 items. It is known for its spicy dishes, lamb and fresh noodles. This is the second location in Brooklyn, following an opening in Greenpoint at 648 Manhattan Avenue in 2013. It’s the eatery’s 15th location across New York City.
Previously home to a Chinese takeout counter named Chang Heng, the new space has only seven seats. But a Facebook post from X’ian Famous Food reveals that they “will eventually have a canopied backyard” with extra seating, presumably in the warmer months.
