After a very long wait, the wood-fire pizza place Barboncino is open at 781 Franklin Avenue. According to comments on the Barboncino Facebook page, people are loving it! I Love Franklin Avenue ran an interview last year with the proprietor, who said: “We will serve an incredibly delicious Neapolitan pizza. These are individual pies cooked quickly in a wood-burning oven at super high temperatures. The result is a delicious crust that is light and airy with just the right amount of “chew” and toppings that are not overcooked, so their unique flavors can shine. We will have a simple pizza menu as it’s my philosophy that simplicity makes people feel comfortable.” There’ll also be a full bar, but as commenters pointed out, no liquor license yet.
