Continuing to liquidate their vast Brooklyn portfolio, the Jehovas Witnesses yesterday put three adjacent Dumbo properties totaling 30,463 square feet of land and roughly 150,000 square feet of buildable space on the market with Cushman & Wakefield. We were unable to find any listing information on the broker’s website, but Crain’s reported that current zoning permits residential, hotel or community facility uses on the site. Two of the properties–173 Front Streetand 177 Front Street–are empty lots and 200 Water Street has a three-story warehouse on Water Street with an empty yard facing Front Street. This particular news is interesting in its own right but also because it raises the question of when the religious group will finally get around to selling its gigantic lot across the street at 87 Front Street which was approved years ago for a multi-building residential development.
