Blue Marble Rwanda Fundraiser
This fundraiser will celebrate and support Sweet Dreams, Rwanda’s first-ever local ice cream shop. In honor of Ingoma Nshya, Rwanda’s pioneer all-women drumming group, with special musical guests, an ice cream social, and a silent auction. Sunday, July 26. 6:30 p.m. – 12 a.m. 415 Atlantic Avenue, House of the Lord Church.
Brooklyn Flea
The Brooklyn Flea takes place in Ft. Greene on Saturday and its historic Brooklyn Bridge location on Sunday. Both locations feature a great mix of vintage, antiques, jewelry, and food. Saturday, July 25. 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School, Lafayette Avenue between Clermont and Vanderbilt Avenues. Sunday, July 26. 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. In Dumbo underneath the Brooklyn Bridge at the corner of Water and New Dock Street.

2009 Animation Block Party
This year’s festival includes 3 days of animation, featuring 80+ shorts, 5 parts, 10 categories, amazing after-parties, award-winning screens, award-winning attendees, judges, and much more. Drop a few dollars and enjoy some animation made by professionals and students alike.

Brooklyn Boogaloo Barbeque
This year’s annual summer fundraiser, hosted by the City Reliquary, is featuring Boogaloo music (a 1960’s sound combining Latin Jazz, Soul and R&B) and presenting the artwork of Stuyvesant High School students and friends. Pork sandwiches, burgers, dogs, Brooklyn beer and sweet summer punch will be offered. Your $25 – $100 donations will help fund the Museum and Civic Organization to further their cause (tickets also available at the door). Saturday, July 25. 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. 370 Metropolitan Avenue, The City Reliquary.
PLGCSA Tag Sale

Just to clarify, it opens via Rooftop Films tonight at the Automotive High School in Willaimsburg (after-party at Matchless) but the events Saturday and Sunday will be held at BAM Cinamatek with after-parties at Fourth Avenue Pub and Habana Outpost.
