Chanukah Celebration at the Windsor Terrace Y
The Kings Bay Y at Windsor Terrace is pleased to invite the entire community to a cultural celebration of Chanukah. The event will take place on December 18th from 10 am-12 pm at 1224 Prospect Ave (on the corner of Vanderbilt) and will feature fun family activities including: a glow-in-the-dark dance party with live DJ, a drum circle, storytelling, sing-a-long, arts and crafts, raffles and other activities for families! Free giveaways include: dreidels, glow sticks, latkes, and toys for the kids. FREE ADMISSION. Brooklyn 101: New York Like a Native
This Saturday, December 17th. 1:30-4 pm. $15. Southwest corner of Plaza Street and Flatbush Avenue, 2/3 to Grand Army Plaza, Q to 7th Avenue; 718-393-7537. An eclectic, energetic introduction to Brooklyn’s history, architecture, lore, and landscape, including Park Slope, Prospect Park, Downtown Brooklyn, and Brooklyn Heights, ending at Fulton Ferry.
Brooklyn Flea + SmorgasBrewery
The Flea moves indoors and occupies Skylight One Hanson both Saturday and Sunday this winter. In addition to moving indoors, the Flea and Brooklyn Brewery launch SmorgasBrewery this Sunday, December 4: a mini-Smorgasburg featuring a rotating cast of five Flea/Smorg food vendors serving inside the Brewery’s Tasting Room on North 11th St. in Williamsburg. The Flea runs from 10am to 5pm at Skylight One Hanson and SmorgasBrewery runs from noon to 5pm. And here our our holiday hours: TODAY, Friday from 2pm-9pm, and Wed./Thurs. 12/21+22: 2-9pm.
