Flatbush Artists Studio Tour
Flatbush artists come to Park Slope, for the first two weekends in December only. The 9th Street Salon – 502 9th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues – will feature original, affordable art for the gift-giving season including painting, photography, prints, sculpture and jewelry. The Opening Gala takes place on Saturday, December 3rd, 4 to 8 pm. Meet the artists while enjoying light refreshments and live music by Feuerbrunner! The art exhibit will continue to be on view Sunday, December 4: 1- 6 pm.

Grace Church School Book & Toy Fair
One-Stop Shopping and Fun Activities for the Whole Family! Wide ranging selection of new & gently-used books and toys for children of all ages, as well as book readings, signings and a children’s sing-a-long. The event will also include a Toy Drive, and visitors to the fair are encouraged to purchase a new toy for a collection that will be distributed to underprivileged children throughout New York City. All sales at the Grace Church School Book & Toy Fair are tax free. Friday, December 2 (9AM-5PM) and Saturday, December 3 (10AM-2PM) in Brooklyn Heights @ 254 Hicks Street (between Grace Court & Joralemon).

Brooklyn Flea + SmorgasBrewery
The Flea moves indoors and occupies Skylight One Hanson both Saturday and Sunday this winter. In addition to moving indoors, the Flea and Brooklyn Brewery launch SmorgasBrewery this Sunday, December 4: a mini-Smorgasburg featuring a rotating cast of five Flea/Smorg food vendors serving inside the Brewery’s Tasting Room on North 11th St. in Williamsburg. The Flea runs from 10am to 5pm at Skylight One Hanson and SmorgasBrewery runs from noon to 5pm.

Greenway Planting at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 6 Gateway
Calling all volunteers! Volunteers are needed to finish planting the Pier 6 gateway of Brooklyn Bridge Park and the Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway on Saturday, December 3rd! In September, Brooklyn Greenway Initiative, NYC DOT and Brooklyn Bridge Park started planting the Pier 6 gateway section of the Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway…a long-awaited connection between Brooklyn Bridge Park and Columbia Street. A new plaza space with a separate bicycle facility has been built on the south side of Atlantic Avenue, and now we just need to finish planting the remaining trees and other greenery before winter sets in! All volunteers are welcome: Saturday, December 3rd, 10:00AM-1:00PM. Meet at the foot of Atlantic Avenue at Brooklyn Bridge Park. Tools and gloves will be provided. FGA Holiday Season Party
