The monuments and mausoleums of Green-Wood Cemetery have many fascinating stories to tell and some of the most interesting are not about the most famous. Visit, with tour leader Ruth Edebohls, the final resting places and hear the stories of the Father of Baseball, a pioneering embalmer, the scandalous wife of an equally-scandalous Civil War general, and the “best woman who ever lived.” Meet at the Gothic Arch inside the entrance at 25th Street and Fifth Avenue. Take the R train to 25th Street and walk up one block to the cemetery. Saturday, 1-3.30pm, $15.00.
