Treasure Island: A Swashbuckling Pirate Workshop

The Irondale Center presents Big Box of Distractions, a fun-filled day for kids and families. Big Box of Distractions will be a swashbuckling, exciting Pirate workshop where Kids will work with a professional fight director Brad Lemons to learn the fundamentals of stage combat; including moves, technique and safety. George Washington’s America: A Biography Through His Maps
Friend of Green-Wood and best-selling author Barnet Schecter talks about his most recent and widely praised compendium of the maps George Washington both drew and purchased. The book crafts a unique portrait of the Father of Our Country. Following the book talk in Green-Wood’s Historic Chapel, Schecter and Green-Wood historian Jeff Richman will lead a tour of the Battle of Brooklyn. Washington’s first battle after the signing of the Declaration of Independence was fought, in part, across Green-Wood’s grounds. Reserve online or call 718.768.7300. Space is limited.
