12 contestants will be competing to see who can eat the most wings in 10 minutes. The winner will be awarded $100 cash and trophy. 2010 Tug & Barge Week
Captain Pamela Hepburn of the Tug Pegasus Preservation Project and Bargemaster David Sharps of the Waterfront Museum are bringing two antique vessels to Brooklyn Bridge Park! Tug & Barge Week will feature free public tugboat trips, free walk-up barge tours, and a community fundraiser event. If you’ve missed out on Saturday and Sunday’s events, don’t worry! You can still take a tour or participate at the fundraiser on Monday and Tuesday! All are welcome. Monday & Tuesday, August 30 & 31. Monday: Free. 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Tuesday: $35. 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

The Green Team
Green Team members donate thousands of hours to provide critical care for the much-used park located at Main and Plymouth Streets. Be one of the many to help out with the Conservancy’s environment. Society of Brooklynites Meeting
This Wednesday is the SOB’s first post-summer meeting. The speaker in will be Wilhelmena Rhodes Kelly. She will speak about Brooklyn’s old movie-quality 19th century jail. Twilight Tour
Enjoy a romantic evening of wine and cheese on the charming Boathouse balcony, and then tour the Park’s majestic Lullwater on our electric boat Independence a faithful replica of the electric boat which toured the Park at the turn of the 20th century. Waterfront Workouts with the Fitness Guru
The Fitness Guru returns with Pilates Mat classes! Join instructors as they teach you to properly activate the muscles of your abdomen and back to create an incredible amount of stability in your torso. Classes are free and open to all skill levels, but space is limited. Registration begins at 6:30pm each evening. A limited number of mats are available for rental for free (with valid ID).
