Red Hook Networking Event
The networking event will provide local businesses with introductions to other entrepreneurs to develop more local collaboration, as well as foster greater awareness of their products and services. The Green Team
The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy’s Green Team of volunteer stewards have returned to the Main Street section of Brooklyn Bridge Park for the 2010 season. Green Team members donate thousands of hours to provide critical care for the much-used park located at Main and Plymouth Streets. Be one of the many to help out with the Conservancy’s environment. Music in the Grove
Ending in mid-August, the Fort Greene Park Conservancy is sponsoring a series of free hour-long kid friendly concerts called Music in the Grove. I Do Not Doubt I Am Limitless: Walt Whitman’s Brooklyn
The free outdoor concert is part of Celebrating a Century, an exciting year-long series of events highlighting Brooklyn Heights history, famous residents, and the BHA’s past & future. Musicians and bands — including the Wingdale Community Singers, Christy and Emily, Prince Rama, and others — will perform original work along with new pieces set to a marathon reading of Leaves of Grass, recited by some of the nation’s most interesting poets.
