But you have to wonder if the caller is a scam artist. I guess if you did a hand-over – dog to neutral party who could phone, cash to another verifiable place – you could figure it out. I hope the ransome is real, though, just so we know the dog’s o.k. Sounds as if the owner’s willing to up the ante.
So the dog is definitely being held for ransom and this isn’t just some doofus asshole’s idea of a joke?
Snaps, I’m in sweats (big surprise, right?), and I’m home, but I have to spend the day filling out a mountain of paperwork for my background investigation.
*rob*, if I had no money, I’d tell them I had no money, and if that didn’t work, then I’d take up a collection from my friends. ANYTHING to get my dog back. They were on the news last night and this morning. It’s in the papers. Someone who knows who has the dog is going to turn them in – always happens when there’s a lot of publicity.
So are all you folks at work right now? Am I the only loser on my couch in my jammies?

🙁 that makes me sad. maybe the owner could only afford a 50 dollar reward? ugh. if something happened to my dog and i had to give a reward what the heck would i do? give them an old gameboy!?
i hope they get the dog back.
