Bastille Day Barbecue
The Diamond is hosting a Bastille Day celebration. Pay for the $8 plat du jour and it includes Moroccan orange and carrot salad, kebabs, tabbouleh, and much more to soothe your French cuisine cravings. Come and enjoy the free sparklers. Tuesday, July 14. 5:30 p.m. 43 Franklin Street, The Diamond.
Vertical Player Repertory Benefit
The Vertical Player Repertory hopes to bring opera to Red Hook piers this September. The Vertical Player Repertory will be performing William Bascomb’s, “A View from the Bridge” to benefit such cause. Opera enthusiasts are welcome to attend. Macy’s Fishing Contest
Kids, ages 15 or younger, can participate in this year’s annual R.H. Macy’s Fishing Contest. All fishing equipment is provided. Fishers can also provide their own, if desired. All fishing is done on a catch-and-release basis. Wednesday – Saturday, July 15 – 19. 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Audubon Center.
Red Hook Movies in the Parks
This Thursday, Red Hook Movies in the Parks is viewing Madagascar 2. Each Thursday, at a different park, movies are played for all to watch. Bring the kids along. Shows are cancelled in the event of rain. Thursday, July 16. Roughly 8 p.m. Coffey Park.
