Crap journalism has been known to destroy lives- has nothing to do with whether or not its good journalism. Just giving it a venue makes people assume it must be true. And you know what they say about “assume.”
“I also assumed it was the equivalent of a British tabloid”
No page 3 like The Sun.
“People don’t actually take it seriously do they?”
Ask Charlie Rangel and Hiram Monserrate.
No- sadly, jaguar. They take it seriously. No grain of salt.
Obviously the Post is disgusting. Look who owns it and who writes columns in it. I also assumed it was the equivalent of a British tabloid and that people take what’s in there with a grain of salt.
Unfortunately, they do jaguar. I know this from personal experience- nothing I want to post on brownstoner but suffice it to say they did a hatchet job on someone I worked for and destroyed the organization. Eventually they to post a retraction but the damage was done. They are disgusting.
No way, the NY Post is awesome to read if you take it for it is: a tabloid. People don’t actually take it seriously do they?
tybur6- And don’t get me started on the NY Post- the only proper use for the NY Post is as a cat box liner.
Imagine if the NY Post actually reported news correctly… do their “journalist” have no integrity? I know it’s not much better than the National Enquirer magazine, but unfortunately their readers actually think it’s a newspaper.
