I have every faith that the “Bed Stuy leaders” are long on criticism and short on solutions.
I really do hope crime does not steadily increase in the area if police officers start to retreat because of these tapes….while I certainly don’t condone the behavior, I do believe drastic and creative measures need to be taken in some areas to combat crime…I would love to hear the “Bed Stuy leaders” solutions…

where are these clothing recycling bins? when i lived in jersey me and a friend used to go around to them and just pull out bags and bags of great clothes. it might sound a bit unethical, but whatever, it still went to the needy!

I heard those tapes made of the precinct captain over on the BedStuyBlog. it would seem to indicate to anyone with half a brain that the guy should go.
I suspect now that it’s moved up to Daily News coverage that the TV news channels will get ahold of it and the embarrassment will be even greater for the top brass.
