i moved out of BH in ’03 and haven’t really been back thru since then — no dags, no gristedes > so you all are stuck with the key food on montague??? a true nightmare, my sincere condolences!
The D’Ags near me when I lived on the UES in Manhattan were just awful. How could a place with an Italian name do such a bad job at produce , meat & fish? mama mia!!!
For some reason, the photo is reminding me of Boulevard of Broken Dreams with James Dean. It’s like the Bridge of Broken Dreams.
Thanks buttermilk channel. I wasn’t in BH at that time, but wish D’AG was still around. Of course, the soon to be re-opened Gristedes on Henry is promising an “upscale” coffee bar. Woo Hoo. Thanks but no thanks.
The D’ags was where CVS is now, on Henry at Love Lane. It was the best market in the Heights. They closed in 2005. Still miss it.
Key Food on Montague is indeed a horror show.
Beautiful photo. Thank you eyepenn for sharing.
Is this photo for sale?
Great photo!
bxgrl, where was the D’Agastino? I don’t know of any in the BH area.
And both Key foods are a thousand present better now than they were when I first moved to BH. The one on Montague is truly a skin-crawler. I am amazed they never did anything to fix it up. In that neighborhood? What happened to the D’agostino? Is that still open?
