QuarterB- my brother was a military photographer but we were never sure where he got his talent from as my father’s idea of a good photo was to never have a 90 degree angle in any shot. He didn’t cut off the heads but our whole world had an interesting, uh…slant. 🙂
eyepenn- be nice to your mom! She probably has a slew of naked baby pics she could post.
You two are funny. Seems like a sweet relationship. Keep on snapping, eyepenn!
“Gave him my Pentax”? After years of snatching it, you finally gave up and decided to allow me use it.
Thank you, bxgrl. Of course, I agree. When I suggested he post, he said, Why don’t I just lend you a camera? I said, Do you think Mr. B. will post my photos with all the missing heads?
That’s why I gave him my Pentax and a book when he was sixteen years old. Smartest thing I ever did.
Thanks for the comments on the photos. I didn’t think it would be posted because it’s still summer. This was taken in the blizzard on 2/12/2006.
You’ve got some talented son, QuartersB! I love that photo too. Agree about the photos here. Mr. B- can we say coffee table book? (Please leave out the waterbug from the other thread though!).
That D’ag was big and clean and new. I loved it. why did it close? Anyone know?
I am eyepenn’s mother. I did not think Brownstoner would choose that photograph any time soon because, as one poster noted, it is not winter (yet), but it is a haunting scene. I encouraged him to post to the Flickr pool because he has so many beautiful Brooklyn photographs.
The photos on this site often amaze me. There are so many talented people in Brooklyn, and I guess Brooklyn is pretty photogenic.
You are correct, Bob. Washington got his butt kicked, and had to abandon New York. The city remained a British occupied stronghold for the remainder of the Revolutionary War.
