Someone is trying to build at 31 Lincoln Road, the Prospect Lefferts Gardens lot once slated for a controversial 23-story glass tower. A Brooklynian commenter noticed permit applications were filed this summer with the Department of Buildings. It appears that there will be two different buildings, one fronting Lincoln Road and the other fronting Flatbush Avenue. The application for 31-33 Lincoln Place calls for eight stories and 87 units. The application for 510 Flatbush Avenue calls for nine stories and 56 units. That’s 143 units total, all of which will be affordable rental apartments, as has already been reported. You may not want to hold your breath for a close construction date. The DOB disapproved plans for both buildings this month. Other applications for general site and structural work are still pending.
