RE Slump Sets Bklyn Back [Metro]
Ah, 1:57, have you seen the photos from yesterday’s protest against Ratner’s honoring? Norman “OCD” Oder estimated (probably exagerrated) a pathetic 80-100 turnout (again, in a neighborhood of 20,000 people). As always, most of the protestors were white and, of course, the event went on as planned, with neither the media (NYT, NY Daily News, NY Post, NY!, etc.) nor the attendees paying attention to the protest.
ahhhhh you pieces of shit go back to lodi nj already dammit
“Do you actually want the economy to collapse”
I do. It’s a means to an end to these assinine home prices. But it only works if you are fortunate enough to maintain an income and to have saved a large enough downpayment to factor out interest rate spikes. So far, I’m one of those fortunate ones. “Knock knock knock…”.
The more I think about it, the economy HAS to collapse with housing because housing = economy (home price appreciation was most of our GDP).
Like always, the economy will eventually rebound. Alternative fuels will pull us out of this recession. It’ll probably take a few years, however.
-Bitter, renting loser
12:48 = Another attempt at Ratner boosterism that will amount to zero.
The What is a pretty funny guy. It’s interesting that some of you people are actually threatened and all worked up over his ravings. I don’t think things are as bad as he makes out, but I know he has at least as much right as anyone on this site to say what he feels. At least he’s funny!
Regarding the protest against Ratner/Brooklyn Museum:
Wow! 100 signatures (oh, count them!) in a neighborhood of 20,000 people. Now that’s what I call a high turnout.
How much money have Lumi Rolley, Patti Hagan, Daniel Goldstein, etc. donated to Brooklyn cultural institutions? I’m sure their combined lifetime contributions are less than 1/10 of 1% of what Ratner has donated this year alone. Ratner has been supporting Brooklyn cultural institutions since Daniel Goldstein was a teeny-bopper.
Another attempt at “activism” that will amount to zero.
Hey The tWhat, your 9:23am posting, you mention giving a ‘lease’ to Vince Carter and Richard Jefferson. Are you back to bragging about being a landlord again??
…someday, this rent-stabalization is gonna end…
Amazing that a couple of posters yesterday were actually wishing for the return of The What.
Be careful what you wish for…
No, What, I was just agreeing that you are a moron and explaining why.
