The only people who should have a say in theis are the residents of East new York and it seems clear, via their coincilman, that they want it.

“coincilman?” Apparently I’ve developed the accent after 4 yeas in Brooklyn.

  2. Regarding the hipsters: “Residents of a trailer park were pushed out of their warehouse . . . a collective of artists who had lived in trailers behind the warehouse for over a year. The [trailer park] houses a music studio, skate ramp, darkroom, painting studio, video sculpture installation, silk screening facilities, an accordion repair room, and even a coy pond.”

At least now we know why DH is looking for a new apartment.

  3. AAAHHHH…… Good luck to that filmmaker who is doing the documentary on New York accents. I would LOVE to see that when it is done. The accent keeps changing and there is nothing I love more than to hear old New Yorkers speak. The “deese and doose” bad immitations in movies is an attempt to capture an accent of days gone by. By and large, NY accent immitations are exaggerated and about 50 years behind the times.

  4. Hipsters living in a warehouse….

“The residents are intent on fighting to stay in their location, which houses a music studio, skate ramp, darkroom, painting studio, video sculpture installation,
silk screening facilities, an accordion repair room, and even a coy pond.”
