Actually, you’re not all that far off, DIBS. But I’m pretty sure “Cobble Hill” has only really been in use since the 60s or so, and was created by real estate brokers based on some old mention somewhere. Before that it was all Red Hook or South Brooklyn. But whatever. It’s a damn sight better than BoCoCa which is just a TriBeCa or SoHo wanna be.
Scott. you’re beginning to sound like a whiner like Cobble.
I think the name “Cobble Hill” is a creation of the 1960s or early 1970s, until which it was lumped together with the rest of South Brooklyn.
I also refuse to use the term BoCoCa, except in cases where I describe how stupid it is or make fun of it.
cobble.
I’m sure the Asshats thought that about Cobble Hill when they first started using that name as well a hundred years ago or whenever. What goes around comes around.
“That’s only because cobble refuses to tell people where it is, and Pete tears down all the posters.”
Cobble Hill is a neighborhood.
BoCoCa is a fake pretentious bullsh*t name created by marketing people. I refuse to acknowledge it as legitimate.
“nobody who actually lives here knows what a BoCoCa is”
That’s only because cobble refuses to tell people where it is, and Pete tears down all the posters.
“The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute ranked the Bronx as the worst of all of New York’s 62 counties across a variety of health indicators, like mortality rate, tobacco use, unsafe sex, diet, exercise and access to health care. Brooklyn came in at the bottom as well with a ranking of 58.”
Where did Kings County come in????
