I wondered about that too, dave. How come his head rolls when his ambulances were stuck in snow that wasn’t plowed? And he is the first one to be punished? What crap.

“Spokesman Bob McGee [ConEd] subsequently confirmed that the manhole fire was the result of salt corrosion on the cables. He explained that several days after it snows, the salt used to treat city streets can corrode the insulation material on underground cables and fires can start.
Post-snowstorm conditions unfold underground within three to four days like “clockwork,†said McGee, who added that, “We staff up accordingly†in anticipation of manhole problems.”
EMS Boss Demoted???? It wasn’t his fault the ambulances couldn’t get around.
Where are the heads at DOS that should be rolling???????
