We’ve heard from a couple of readers that a 14-year-old boy on his way to school at Brooklyn Tech this morning at around 7 a.m. was attacked and slashed in the face with a knife in a unprovoked incident that appears to be a random act of violence rather than a robbery. According to the tips we received, the attack took place on Fort Greene Place near Lafayette. If you know anything about the incident please contact the 88th Precinct.

this happened outside a few doors down from me.
from what i understand he was on his way to band practice.
the police said it was a random act – as nothing was stolen.
must have been @ 7a.m.
he was cut pretty bad – lots of stitches.
i heard this from the police van that was parked there yesterday.

As the mom of a future Bklyn Tech student (she’ll start there in September), I have been looking for news reports on this attack. There are reports in the Daily News and the Post of 2 different incidents in city high schools last Friday but nothing about this one. Does anyone know anything about it?
Sympathies to the kid. 14! Terrible. Hope he’s as OK as can be.
